Our Process & Terms of Service

Welcome to Kalki Pattachitra Arts. We are honoured to create a unique, hand-crafted piece of traditional art for you. Our process is designed to be personal, collaborative, and transparent from start to finish.

By commissioning an artwork with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

The 5-Step Commissioning Process

Our creation process ensures your vision is perfectly captured by our artisans.

Step 1: Initial Inquiry Your journey begins when you contact us through our website form. Please provide as much detail as possible about your desired artwork, including the theme (e.g., Krishna Lila, Dasavatar), preferred size, and any specific elements you wish to include.

Step 2: Personal Consultation We will personally contact you via WhatsApp to discuss your vision in depth. In this collaborative phase, we will share reference images, discuss composition and colour palettes, and provide a final price quote for your artwork. This is the stage for any major changes or revisions to the concept.

Step 3: Confirmation & Advance Payment Once you are completely satisfied with the finalized design and quote, we require a 50% non-refundable advance payment to confirm your order and commission our artists. This payment secures your slot and allows us to procure the necessary high-quality, organic materials for your painting.

Step 4: The Creation With the advance paid, our master artisans in Raghurajpur will begin the sacred process of hand-painting your Pattachitra. Creation times can vary from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of your piece. We will provide you with an estimated completion timeline during our consultation.

Step 5: Final Payment & Delivery Upon completion of the artwork, we will notify you. The remaining 50% balance payment is due upon successful delivery of the artwork to your address.

Terms & Conditions

1. Payment Terms

  • An advance of 50% of the total price is strictly required before any work begins. This advance is non-refundable as it covers the initial cost of materials and the artist's time.

  • The final 50% payment must be made upon delivery of the artwork.

  • Payments can be made via Bank Transfer or UPI. Details will be provided in the final quote.

2. Shipping & Delivery

  • We offer shipping all across India.

  • The courier/shipping fee is the responsibility of the customer. This fee is separate from the artwork price and will be calculated based on your location and the size of the package.

  • All artworks are packaged with the utmost care in secure tubes or flat-packs to prevent any damage during transit.

  • We will provide you with a tracking number once the artwork is dispatched.

3. Artwork Authenticity & Revisions

  • As every piece is 100% hand-crafted, minor variations in stroke and colour may occur. These are not flaws but a mark of authentic, handmade art.

  • All conceptual revisions must be finalized during the Step 2 consultation phase. Once the painting process has begun, major changes to the composition cannot be made.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Due to the custom, made-to-order nature of our work, we cannot accept cancellations once the painting process has begun.

  • The 50% advance payment is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.

5. Customer Agreement

  • By commissioning an artwork and paying the 50% advance, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
